Apocolyptic Girl

I'm all for apocalyptic characters. Personally for me, their the most fun to draw because you can fuse anything from just about any era and get this great look to it. I know that most people that I know are more of a fantasy fan than anything, and I really can't get into that as much--this is more of my kinda era. And you know George Miller's Max movies rock, I wish they made more of these type of films.

Space Gal

I love the pin up girl type art. It's such a great look overall--flirty, fun, and full of cute gals, and the classics like Gil Elvgren and Vargas are great inspirations. Unfortunately, my work is nowhere near that, but that doesn't mean I don't try and have some fun with it. Here is my attempt to capture that fun and cuteness of that genre. I'm also a huge Bawidimann fan too. They get my creative juices flowing, and definitely worth checking out(all 3 of them).

Super-Super Heroes again

Just some more fun with these cats. This actually was done before the Thor and Punisher one that I posted already, I just never got around to post it. These weren't my fav result-wise, but the Cap one came out pretty good, and the thumbnail under cap too was fun.

It's the 90's all over again!

During the 90's who could ever forget Image comics? They were trying to do things on their own and during that time, it was a unheard of because there was only Marvel or DC, and I think that they helped established mainstream comics outside the big two, and proved that you can be successful by doing so.
Anyhoo, I thought Jim Lee's Zealot from WildC.A.T.s was just too cool looking and managed to stand out even by today's standards of women heroes--tough, independent and beautiful all rolled into one. How can you not go wrong?! I have this also finished in ink and grayscale, but I thought it looks better in pencil....that an my inks are pretty crappy.

'Nother Random Sketch

Today was a pretty good day. I might have a new job in L.A. but it's totally up to me to make good on my part. In the meantime, I had fun doing this, which was done about a month+ ago and it's just something that I put onto paper from observing life, which I would like to do more often. Her holding the bike doesn't really make sense, but I think the daily things we see and do can be a pretty good source of inspiration for drawing.

Random Sketch

Random sketch from my sketchbook. I think I've been pretty happy with what I've produced in the book, cause alot of instances where you're only proud to show some of your work in the book but not the rest. Maybe that's just me....
and I don't like to make these so called "sketchbooks" where you rip out pages you're not happy with and paste other "better" drawings to fill it. It just shows that you don't want to show you're weaknesses--it not possible to be perfect and it only proves that your not willing to look at your own mistakes and learn from them.

blah, blah, blah.....

More Super-Super Heroes

and here's another one too. it's a nice change of direction from my more realistic style that I try to do--it's less confined to the rules of anatomy and more of a "lets see how far we can get away with" fun look to it.

Super-Super Heroes

I recently did this sketch out of pure experimenting and had a lot of fun doing it. I'll put some more up later during the week.
